Labour First Minister Drakeford passed in Wales in two stages a vaccine passport Act that would have been defeated had it been attempted in one step.
The owner of a small independent cinema in Swansea felt and stated that she was not able to discriminate entry based upon alleged medical, digital evidence presented to her.
This drew both local support and an attempt by Swansea Council to injunct her, thrown out by a judge. Then, carrying a letter from Mr Drakeford, brawny private guards and police shut the doors. The cinema management re-opened them.
Mr Drakeford was recorded off record, questioning his directive.
I went a week later to a private screening at Cinema & Co. It had a full-capacity audience for a film called An Easy Death. This interviewed in depth, a half-dozen surviving family members of individuals who fell victim recently to an apparent protocol, a new digital classification within the NHS, of pre-determined decease.
All the victim-patients had in common either a serious co-morbidity or were elderly or otherwise high on a pre-determined scale. Labelled without consent being asked, “Do Not Resuscitate”. Adminsitered in common, morphine and midazalam and two other drugs. These drugs are (amongst other things) breathing suppressants. All six victims died. COVID-Pneumonia typically went onto the death certificates. No coroner report or autopsy was done.
The families of these ordinary members of society want redress. Some attended the screening and answered questions. Many victim families were interviewed in all. They claim they are at the tip of a euthanasia iceberg once called the “Liverpool Care Pathway” thought banned in 2016, but still operative. And that the quantity of midazolam used this way lately and still being used is a scandal.
A protocol is a system that replaces human assessment and judgement. There appear to be dramas going on in hospitals, on the high street and in our brains as powerful as the dramas in any cinema thriller plot.
We are a nation of shopkeepers being nudged to becoming our own system goalers and policing ourselves to pass support to contorversial, over-complex pharmaceutical so-called solutions. The Muller’s ratchet theory says viral variants are inevitable and progressively less lethal. There was not an actual virally sick person in sight, throughout.
Perhaps all it takes to dispell a great dystopia is a simple trip to the cinema.
